The Hoodlum Print

2015. Keith Tardel finished the Cannarozzi Roadster in my shop, and once it was buttoned up, we hauled it to my top secret photoshoot location. Hoodlums being hoodlums, the asphalt might’ve picked up a little extra rubber that day.

“This was here when we arrived, officer.”

Shot on my Leica M6 with a 35mm Summilux on HP5. The print’s big - about 22” by 15”. The original negative had rooftops cluttering the frame, so I dodged, burned, and carved out some negative space for hand-done art. It worked better than it had any right to.

One of one, because I’m not putting myself through that circus again. Signed on the back.
