The X-Pan Print

They call the Hasselblad X-Pan one of the most magical film cameras ever built... and maybe it is. But the cost of hanging onto mine finally outweighed the joy, so I let it go. Before that though, I burned through thousands of frames and loved every minute.

This shot comes from 2017, when I ditched a family trip to Disneyland and slipped away to photograph Lou’s roadster and Nathan’s sedan. The light was perfect, the cars were dialed, and the company wasn’t half bad either. Out of the whole set, this frame stuck with me the most. Every time I see it, I miss that damned X-Pan.

Shot on Portra 400 with the 45mm. The print runs about 10.5” by 4”. I made four - signed and numbered.
