The Sun Flared '29

In 2015, Tardel was building hot rods out of my shop, with Randy Cannarozzi’s ’29 roadster taking center stage. I became obsessed, often sneaking out at night to admire its lines. When it finally ran under its own power, we took it to my secret Hill Country photo spot for a proper shoot. As the sun set, I captured over 500 shots on my Leica M8, but before the light was gone, I pulled out my Leica M6 loaded with Ilford HP5. One shot from that roll stood out. Printing it was a challenge—balancing the sun flare without overexposing the frame took practice. After some trial and error, I nailed it. I printed four copies, signed and numbered them, and I’m giving them away for the cost of shipping. If you want one, grab it while you can.
