The So-Cal Streamliner Print

In 2012, I wound up in one of the strangest, most surreal moments of my life. I was standing alone in a massive, dark building with nothing but silence, shadows, and Dan Webb’s recreation of the So-Cal Streamliner staring me down like some mechanical ghost from 1950.

Luckily, I had a tripod, a 1938 Leica III, and a roll of fast black-and-white film in my bag. After one of the longest exposures I’ve ever attempted - and a healthy dose of divine luck - I walked away with this frame. I’m still damned proud of it.

The print measures roughly 13 by 18 inches and it’s on truly premium photo paper.
