The Cabriolet & The Castle
In 2017, I found myself perched on the infamous Castle Hill in Austin, Texas, orchestrating what was supposed to be a photoshoot of Blake Burwell's Cabriolet but quickly devolved into a warm-up act for a night of pure chaos and questionable decisions. The kind of night where the lines blur, reality tilts, and you come out the other side with stories too wild to tell and memories that slip through your fingers like smoke. Nothing tangible remains—except this photo.
Shot on a Leica M7 with a 35mm Summicron V4 lens, loaded with Ilford HP5 film, it’s a frozen slice of that golden hour magic—a rare fragment of a night otherwise lost to the whirlwind. I’ve made five prints of this shot (about 5" by 7"), signed and numbered on the back, each one a ticket to a moment that can’t be replicated.
They’re free for the taking, but you’ve gotta cover the shipping. No excuses, no exceptions. Take it while you can.
