A Weekend Project Print

People have asked me plenty of times to make prints from the Tom Cobbs archive, and I’d love to, but I didn’t take these photos and don’t own them. It wouldn’t sit right with me to profit off another man’s work. I’ve made a few for myself, given a couple away, but that’s been the extent of it... until this week, when someone close to Tom asked for a print of his legendary small-block Chevy, the same one that tore across Bonneville in the So-Cal Coupe. That’s not the kind of request you turn down.

Now, I’m no pro printer, so getting a big color print right takes a heap of trial and error... dozens of test sheets, tweaks to color and contrast, the whole ritual. Out of the chaos, I ended up with four small prints that came out pretty damn nice... flawed, but full of soul. I can’t bring myself to toss them, so they’re up for grabs. Free to a good home, just cover shipping.
