The 1946 H.A.M.B. Calendar

Regular price $10.00

A lot of stuff went down in 1946. With the war a year removed, there was a ton of optimism in America. The American people were simply bearing the fruits of their labor after half a decade of sacrifice. Underneath it all though, something dark was brewing. Not many people saw it, but Winston Churchill damn sure did. He came to America and penned his famous "Iron Curtain" speech on March 6th. Many people consider that day the very birth of the public Cold War.

As odd as it sounds, I thought a lot about that speech while designing this year's calendar. It's simple. It's to the point. It's late deco in style, but not so much that it isn't utilitarian... The idea was to bring focus to the expertly penned art by none other than Ruben Duran.

It's all printed on a 11" x 9" piece of hardstock with paper tear aways for each month. And yes, the days and dates of 1946 align perfectly with those of 2019.
