I did these strictly for selfish reasons. I like to keep a log in each of my hot rods to record maintenance (last oil change), dates, mileage, to-do lists, etc… Ever since I can remember, I have used Moleskine notebooks to keep everything organized. They are perfect because of their small and compact size, yet durable construction. Plus, they have a pocket in the back to store your AAA and insurance cards.

Anyway, I stumbled upon a guy that actually laser engraves Moleskine covers. It isn’t cheap, but it sure looks cool and I just had to do a couple for myself featuring the Jalopy Journal logo and some choice vintage art. While I was at it, I did a few more figuring some of you fellas must appreciate tactile things as much as I do.
